Airport contained by Venice?
My itinerary for a summer trip includes Venice, Parma, Florence, Rome, and Sorrento.
I'd like to fly directly into Venice from the USA so I can in recent times go south for respectively next destination, but I am worried the airport will be small and so will the plane (my mother is scared out of your wits of flights, but I am convincing her to go to Italy on the concept that international flights are on bigger planes so there is smaller number turbulence. Is this still true if you fly into Venice?)
If I flew into Rome, I'd certainly gain a bigger plane, but I don't know how I'd organize my itinerary starting from a middle destination. I could stir from Rome to Venice or Sorrento and THEN start, but then I'd enjoy to take a small flight from Rome to Venice or Sorrento, which give me the same problem of a small plane.
Suggestions?
Is the Venice airport/airplanes small?
Answers: Just check the airlines for flights into the Venice airport. The airline will give an account you what type of plane they are flying, most even have pictures and chairs charts on their website. I flew out of Venice to Rome to catch my flight pay for to the US and believe it was a Boeing 737 that we took. If you do fly into Rome you can pocket a train up to Venice, it's only a few hours, so you can avoid the small planes.
I hold always started my trips from Rome. Fly into Rome, herald south to Pompeii and Sorrento, then boss north to Florence & Venice. You can stop by Pisa en route back to Rome. Think of it as starting at the 3 o'clock position on the clock vs the 12 o'clock position, you'll still brand name the circle, you just start from a different position. Remember, even if you start surrounded by Venice you'll have to circle rear legs there to acquire back home. There is so much to see surrounded by Rome as well (Venice, it's okay but after 2 days I be done).

yes nice airport. i went out of philly on u.s. airlines also be big plane Venice airport takes both big and little planes! If you do fly into Venice manufacture sure it's Marco Polo Airport. Some planes go to Treviso (eg Ryanair) and you'll own another hour's travel to get to Venice.
But, if you're coming from the USA what roughly flying in to Rome, and consequently taking the train to Venice?
Train stations in Italy are centrally located and lone need to capture there 10 mins in the past the train leaves. Whereas airports are miles away, you have to be in attendance at least 30 mins earlier departure, plus extra time collecting baggage and getting to the city the other failure. In the end the train take maybe matching length of time but is much more relaxing, you can watch the site and get up and wander about.
I've flown into Venice numerous times (around 10...perchance more), and don't recall any of the planes self too small. I'm deathly afraid of flying, so i see where your mom is coming from. You guys should be ok.
