3 question in the region of travelling to Italy...?

We are going this April!

1. I think we've established that it's ok to just book our train tickets when we in actuality get nearby, so we have rather bit of freedom. Is this ok?

2. At one point we'll be traveling from Siena to Rome. I know there's no direct route on the train - best option?

3. I've read several times that Italians dress terrifically well. Does this penny-pinching no jeans? What is suitable dress for travelling in Italy?

Thank you!!

Answers:    1) yes, you can; on trains where on earth booking is mandatory (like Eurostars) you can still book before departures; obviously the risk is finding all booked, nonetheless. On other trains booking is possible but not mandatory (f.i. Intercity, Eurocity).
Anyway look at Trenitalia site http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html for any information, including kind of trains http://www.trenitalia.com/en/treni_stazi... and traveler's guides http://www.trenitalia.com/en/area_client...
If you plan to travel only inside Italy, don't care something like pass close to Eurail or similar, just buy tickets from Trenitalia (online or at the railway station).

2) yes, you hold to change once, but it's still the easier and more comfortable track to get near.

3) don't worry, jeans are adjectives (you may also be shocked finding out the origin of words close to "denim" or "blue jeans" :-)
You can find native ancestors with any type of dress, of course some adjectives other rare (like t-shirts beside words, a common press from tourists: there's nothing wrong near them, but simply in Italy are not much surrounded by use).
1. It's ok... (for long route or italian holydays is better book some day earlier)
2. own a look here http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html
it's italian train service web site...
3. jeans are idyllic, don't worry
1. Good plan. Trains are comparatively cheap.

2. I think you involve to go through Florence . ask when you attain there.

3. Italians are severely stylish, but yes, they do wear jeans. They wear them very stylishly ... erm.
i lovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee youuuuu! brava brava, vieni surrounded by italia! è il paese più bello del mondoooooooooo! ( ask somebody to translate this for you when you will be in italy!) Hi, I live contained by Italy. Enjoy your trip!

1. Yes, it's okay to buy your train tickets when you get here. You can any buy them at the counter or with one of the automatic machines you see inside the train station.

2. You can still steal the train, but you'll have to transmute trains in Chiusi or another city. Or you could rent a saloon. I'm not sure if there are buses that stir from Siena to Rome.

3. Yes, Italians dress well (compared to Americans at least). They are exceptionally much into fashion and looking nice. Jeans are okay. A lot of Italians wear jeans. Just wear the stylish ones and not "mom jeans". =)
Ciao..! =)
I'm italian, well, i cant communicate you more of what have already be told...
I just speak about you that i'm agree with the other italians... so, relish your trip, i hope you'll like here..!! come to call on turin, is a nice city..!
Train is your best option. Being that it rain frequently wear clothes that dry very express, like dockers, bring a poncho, and a second set of two of shoes, you don't want to have drizzling shoes on the second day. OK- first of adjectives, there are frequent diferent options as far as train travel go. I HIGHLY recommend getting your tickets before you run. You will get a much better price and some option are only available here, not within Italy. By tickets, I mean a go by. This means you can budge anywhere- although you will still need to grasp an actual ticket to board the train. So, it goes similar to this. You bought a pass here. You bear your pass to the ticket booth and they issue a ticket. You free $$$.

Check with a travel agent- resembling at AAA, for instance (you do not have to be a applicant to use their travel services).

Italians do dress well. Jeans are OK, but you may want to re-think that if you plan on going to any nice restaurants.

IN ROME- Go to Campo de Fiore. There is a great cheap hotel- Albergo del Sole. You can tramp to Vatican and other ruins, Spanish steps, etc are not far or a cheap cab ride.

Campo de Fiore is a great citizens watching piazza. By day, it is a farmer's open market. At night, Italians stride about and near are plenty of wine bars. Nearby is fabulous fun shopping.
I'm italian
1- I can suggest you to book your train ticket because for some train it's compulsory to book anr you enjoy the risk of not finding place . for other train is not compulsory but if the train is crowded you can't find a seat place and is tiring
2- www.trenitalia.it
3- It is true that surrounded by italy we like to all right wear but we absolutely wear jeans that we similar to a lot and are unbelievably confortable!
Have a good travel contained by my beautiful country!
1. Yes, it's okay a moment ago to book there. Make sure you spend the little extra for the Eurostar it's plentifully quicker.
2. Don't worry more or less direct, the trains are really prompt. Take the train, driving is horrible and renting a car is immensely expensive.
3. Dressing isn't as important as you consider. When I was contained by Italy it seemed close to there be more tourists and college students than Italians. Jeans are fine. The most important item is comfortable walking shoes. If you plan on attending mass in some of the basillicas they will require a unquestionable dress code, just check that out online.
if you don't take Italian there is also www.bhan.de
where on earth you can get information on train within English

people within the road dress as every body in the world, over adjectives when you are traveling, take near you only one glad cloth if you want to go contained by a fashion disco, other road don't worry nearly
1. Trains are ok. You can find tickets even the same sunshine of travel, but I suggest you one day earlier. 2. you may change train within Chiusi...the trenitalia web site tell you all the option (http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html, just enter Siena as start and Rome as arrive) 3. jeans are ok...I'm sorry, but my english is not appropriate...have a nice trip!
