Info on bus from Rome to Fara San Martino, Italy?
traveling in May, 2008. Does anyone know the easiest approach to get from Rome to Fara San Martino, Italy minus driving.
Answers: You can do this on ARPA, the Abruzzo bus line, but it involves a few stops.
Take the ARPA bus from Roma Stazione Tiburtina to Pescara. Then a bus from Pescara to Guardiagrele, then a final bus to Fara S. Martino.
You can check the schedule at www.arpaonline.it (only in Italian). Click on "Orari delle corse", later "Consulta Orari". Get the schedule for Roma-Staz. Tiburtina to Pescara-p.le Repubblica, next Pescara-p.le Repubblica to Fara S. Martino. For some reason, the online scheduler is not smart plenty to plan the entire trip in one turn upside down.
I've taken the ARPA bus from Roma to Pescara before and it be very verbs, fast (only 2.5 hours vs 4 hours for the train), and inexpensive (EUR15 respectively way).
