Am planning a trip to Italy, thinking something like Sardinia. Can anyone contribute direction roughly speaking Sardinia?

I am from Milan, but I work within Sardinia during summer.
If you go at hand in may, you won't enjoy problems to find a place where to stay, and you won't spend so much.
Beaches are wonderful, and if you progress to the south, you can also bathe! Water will be cool, but usually I start bathing within april.
I suggest you to rent a car, resources of transport are not efficient, and if you necessitate to move from the north to the south,it will be difficult.
Try to find a place next a city, similar to Cagliari, Alghero, Olbia or smth similar, so you won't have problems surrounded by shopping, little towns usually have adjectives supermarket closed until June.

i am italian and i just love it! sardinia have one of the best seas within the world. the best seaside resorts are in the north coast (costa smeralda). if you manor in alghero or olbia you're contained by the right place. it's worth getting a day trip to look in the deserted islands with crystalline white beach and blu-green sea. food is also outstandingly good. sardinia is a bit expensive and if you hold dollars with you it might not work out within your favour. nation are friendly but sometimes can be challenging finding someone who speaks english. even so, everyone will try by making gesture to help you out... delight in, you will love it. My hubby & I be just within last month surrounded by Aleghero... it was particularly not tourist season (which we enjoy - no crowds & no awfully behave American tourists - they are an embarrasment to other Americans everywhere). It was something like 60 & sunny the whole time...
I would dream of it will be warmer by May - the sand was white but be a bit on the smelly side from the dead marine creatures washed up (sea urchins possibly? looked like fuzzy rocks). I would have a sneaking suspicion that this will be cleaned up by the start of tourist season...
There was plenty of shopping surrounded by the old town... it be sale season - so prices be decent - but if you have to pay 'regular' price - even surrounded by Euros - they were on the high-ranking side.
We went to the local grocery store for snacks (we do this everywhere!) so that we didn't hold to eat out adjectives the time & just took everything out of our mini pub frig to put OUR drinks in! (be discreet when doing this that you don't break anything - or ask the hotel to remove the contents!)
Make sure to eat at the local Eis Cafe (Ice Cream) - nought beats Italian Gelato! There be a fabulous one that we found in Old Town - but I can't remember the mark of it - it was REALLY tiny & on a side street!
We would specifically go wager on again... It was a really cute place - try to stay somewhere close to the shore & to town so that you can do stuff (or be close enough to the bus stop so that you can use public transport!). We didn't even do the touristy things... a moment ago walked around & admired the view!
