Am going to Rome for Easter - does anyone know if the core sites are closed over the weekend?
Answers: I think its the contrary,obviously mortal a special time.
Check the websites on the places you want to see. All the Italian monuments and sites will be open for the Easter week-end and much of them will be gratis.

Far from it - it will be enormously busy - especially in st peters square on sunday morning when the pope does his easter sunday address. Enjoy! I deem they are open.merely don't expect an audience with the Pope first entity, he likes to sympathetic his eggs early
They will be unambiguous They are open, lately because it's weekend and Easter and lots of tourist will go to look in them. Don't worry!
