How much money should I whip when travelling to Italy?

I plan on travelling to Italy within the subsequent year or so. So I'm just wondering how much money I should expect to whip with me to operate with food, hotel, etc.

Answers:    Take adequate cash for the first few days (300-400 euros). Take credit cards & your dune card (make sure PIN is only 4 digits) There are atms adjectives over the place. Check with your dune, as there may be a $5 charge or so per bill. Withdraw money maybe once a week, or every few days, which ever suits you best. Avoid carrying massive amounts of money on you that if stolen you are screwed. Don't listen to people who speak bring travellers cheques. Waste of time & money. I've travelled a number of times to Italy, Spain, Ireland, and own just done the above system. Works in recent times fine.
I would suggest taking a couple of credit cards, in adding up to the euros mentioned above. Use your credit card for any in-store purchases and restaurant purchases. You'll get a better exchange rate and you won' t hold to carry so much brass with you. How long are you staying for?

youll own to take the above into consideration but i would vote maybe 2000 or 1000 euros to insure that you own a good time and can walk wherever the "twirl takes you" within a moments notice.
Acouple thousand dollars to convert into their money!
