Do-
1- label the proper greeting to everyone when you enter or leave a store, hackney carriage or bus. They will greet you and it would be rude if you don't return the greeting.
2- Sample the varieties of food that are offered. Don't a moment ago stick with the "pasta". Italy have many wonderful dishes that correction from region to region. You should sample as lots as you can. And don't forget the gelato! The best in the world!
3- Visit as abundant historical sites as you can. This country IS history. It is everywhere. Go explore ruins, visit churches and museums, way of walking down streets that are hundreds (if not thousands) of years old. Enjoy this country.
Don't-
1- take money or anything valuable within your pockets or a backpack. Italy has plentifully of petty theft, the most prominent is pick pockets. Use a money belt that go inside your clothes.
2- come to Italy for 6 days and expect to see 6 different cities and enjoy them. Italy should be savored. Take your time to explore respectively city. Slow to the Italian pace.
3- wear short beside sandals and socks! This screams tourist. Dress other. All Italians dress nicely.
Don't presume that everyone speaks English, desires dollars and that all of them resembling America.
When in Italy do try to speak some Italian. Do be polite. Do dress better than you would subsidise home.
Do:
1. buy your bus tickets at the tabaccaio before boarding a bus
2. greet buongiorno or buonasera when you enter a shop, or ciao as you donate a restaurant
3. dress well or suitably for adjectives occasions

1. vacate your bags within the car
2. discuss your view about communism
3. expect alitalia and airport staff to be polite

Do run to Southern Italy.

Dont tell Italians you are American.
Dont bearing around with money within your hand.
Dont travel to Northern Italy. (Its boring)
