Americans that hold be to Ireland?

What parts did you visit?
and what did you believe? honestly

Answers:    I first went over when I be 15- this was 1990- I go to see my Da's rels in Co. Tyrone within the North - I was expecting thatched cottages, a still out vertebrae, and cousins dropping in after busting a trilby on a redcoat...well, one cousin have just come rear from Glasgow on his brand new Harley(he swore it be the best date bait in Ireland at the time), another be wearing a Bart Simpson T shirt, his Da owned the pub in town, and they sold more Rolling Rock than they did Guinness, and we drove over to the brand modern Kentucky Fried Chicken place in Enniskillen, and caught the NFL's team game of the week-it was similar to I never left home, and this be before the Internet..
I go to Ireland last summer, and I have a wonderful time. I wish I could live near! When I was within, I traveled through County Cork to Kinsale, then to County Kerry to see the Ring of Kerry and to Dingle, through County Clare to see the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, next to Inishmor, the largest of the Aran Islands, then to Achill Island surrounded by County Mayo, and finally to Dublin.
We drove during our trip, which I would not recommend to everyone. I have hear that other people hold been fine near driving, but we found the country roads to be scary. The problem is not driving on the contrasting side of the road, it is how small most of the roads are. Also, being a impractical American, I expected that driving 60 miles in Ireland would filch the same time as driving 60 miles on a highway contained by the U.S., which just isn't true on most of the country roads. If you opt to drive, just remember that it take a lot of time contained by the countryside. You could also consider doing a guided tour.
The other thing you inevitability to be prepared for is that Ireland is really expensive. I would recommend looking for cheap plane tickets and considering staying at hostels, or inexpensive bed and breakfasts. That is a great way to salvage some money, because naturally when you travel to Ireland you won't want to scimp on indubitable things, like going to the pub and paying to turn to museums.
That said, Ireland is a lovely place. The people are wonderful- extremely friendly and conversational. The countryside is beautiful. If you don't know highly much about Irish history, I would recommend reading some books earlier you go. It manifestly will make your trip more perceptive.

I went to UL for a year - so I lived within Castletroy, Limerick - which is riiiight outside of Limerick City centre. I also visit Kilkenny (dated a guy from there), Cork City, the Rock of Cashel, Dublin, Quin, Vaughan, somewhere in the middle of Tipp, Belfast, Giants Causeway, the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Moher, Kilarney ... I don't remember where on earth else - but I spent MOST of my time in and around Limerick - you know, classes and adjectives! =)

I had a great time - I be only surrounded by most of the places I visited for a few days - so I can't really believe to be them. I did spend a bit more time in KK b/c of the boyfriend. It be a pretty cool place. His family be great and everyone seemed really generous. Limerick was better than most population think it is =). I stingy, it's a city...kind of dirty, but it be fun. I think Cork or Galway would enjoy been better...but c'est la struggle! Limerick was great - presently stab city holds a special place in my heart (oddly enough).

I really enjoy my time there. Overall those were friendly, and the lands is beautiful. I really appreciate the reusable case policy at the shops and the recycling - I deem y'all are miles ahead of us in those regard. And I loved walking/riding my bike/taking public transportation a lot more than I do here. It changed my outlook on that - very soon I walk or ride my bike places almost every afternoon (much to the dismay of everyone where I live!)

Oh, I'm from Mississippi by the agency.
sadly I haven't but i would resembling toooo =]]]] I have be to both parts both the British north and Irish south. People are friendly the chat is good and it feel safe nearby.
Smartness" The north is British. Its part of Uk. United Kingdom is North Ireland, Scotland England and Wales. People contained by north have British passports, People approaching you give Americans a fruitless name.
I've be to Dublin and I thought it was amazing. Not single were adjectives the people really nice but in that was tons of stuff to do. I stayed at The Brewery Hostel. It be a mid-sized hostel a block away from the Guinness Storehouse. It was a 2-3 minute stroll into downtown Dublin. The Temple Bar district is very touristy, but it is a must. The bar are great and you will meet tons of individuals. The hostel did a pub crawl that was fantastic. We go to a bar specifically in the wrapping up zone of the school's sporting fields. From their we go to tons of bars range from hole in the wall places to exclusive clubs next to 5 million Euro in import African gold. All of the bar were seriously of fun but I would recommend going to local bars that are somewhat bad the beaten catwalk they seemed to hold the best atmosphere. Everyone speaks english there which is a huge plus. The country side is exquisite we saw from pictures and the plane out so I would rent a car and check it out. I hear Cork is pretty cool as well.
