How fine is Dublin, Ireland?

I'd like to revisit my roots--I'm Irish..

Answers:    North Dublin is exquisite too, head to Howth out at the coast and bull island, the dublin mountains within south Dublin are lovely, The city centre is approaching most European city centres, whoever told you not to team leader for the north must never have be there.. in that are no red flag areas, temple bar is probably the worst to be honest
I close to Dublin, but I've been to nicer cities. I wouldn't telephone it beautiful. It's a typical European city, and worth a drop by. was a short time ago there a few weeks ago, it blew me away...the society are some of the most friendly in the world...check out trinity college
It is divine, although it really depends on what your idea of exquisite is. As it's a city, most of it is pretty urban, although there are some parks surrounded by the city centre that are lovely, resembling Stephen's Green. It has like mad of Georgian houses that legally enjoy to have their facade retained, so you can see (almost!) what it looked like years ago. Bad points include the traffic and cost of living...drastically expensive... Very beautiful!
Very striking, but I thought the most beautiful place surrounded by Ireland was the Ring of Kerry which is on the west coast. We started our trip on the west coast, and afterwards made a circle (so we could visit some household in the middle of the country). Dublin is more of a fun, type place beside lively pubs. They have charming parks as well. Some parts are moderately scenic. The most beautiful terrain is on the west coast though. Visit Phoenix Park for greenery and Dublin 8 for the old fashioned brownstones. Steer clear from the north of the city at hours of darkness, it's well-known to be a red flag nouns.
