Is a UK Driving license suffient ID to fly next to Ryanair from Birmingham to Dublin?
Answers: yep, certainly is.
Yes, But merely if you were born surrounded by the UK before 1983.
A driving license is valid as evidence of citizenship (as one and only UK or Ireland citizens can travel without a passport). As the license states just place and date of birth, not citizenship, you can only use it if your place and date of birth guarantee you are a citizen. This single works for people born within the UK before 1983.
yes, but simply for this year, however some airlines will ask to see your passport, so check what your ticket says. If I be you I'd just rob my passport anyway.
Next year you will need your passport, as the special arrangement between us is culmination (do to with immigration etc)
It is suitable form for Ryanair between those two cities.
From the Ryanair.ie website:
"For British and Irish citizens who are travelling on flights to/from the United Kingdom to/from the Republic of Ireland, a valid driving licence with photo is adjectives photo ID.
Passengers who are citizens of other countries travelling on these routes must present a valid passport (with visa if applicable) or a National Identity Card issued by the government of a European Economic Area (EEA) country."
