Advice for a trinity college dublin fresher??

In october I'll be starting as an undergrad studying business at trinity college dublin. I'm from california, and although I've been to dublin a few times formerly, I was hoping to bring some advice on university life/things to avoid/best places to turn out etc. Just anything you would have needed to know back when you be a fresher! thanks

Answers:    claire t is wrong! We do phone up first years freshmen - or freshers for short!. Trinity is a brill college (im a senior frehman at the moment.) There are so many comings and goings you can get involved within - there are clubs to suit adjectives tastes, and it's really flowing to get to know folks. My advice to you would be to acquire over here, and go near the flow! There is always tons of college night out! If you are gonna be living on/near campus, then you'll other have someone to hang down out with.
My suggestion wuld be not to do what I did (joined every club during freshers week cuz they gave out free stuff, and next never go to any meeting!) Join a couple of ones that interest you, and go to their meeting! Its a nice way to carry to know people. Oh, and stir to lectures. Its worth it!
Hope you enjoy Ireland and Trinity - I know I do!
economically for a start, you wont be called a fresher! you'll be within first year business in trinity! we a short time ago use years as labels! you wont hold any problem with where on earth to go out etc as Trinity is right within the centre of town, i reflect on a lot of trinners walk to Doyles around the corner and then to a club then probably around Stephen's green or the Camden/Wexford/Harcourt street area. Most irish students dont travel out in Temple Bar as its full of tourists, although here are a few pubs that are good! If your not living on campus try to stay south of the river incentive its a lot nicer and possibly safer. However some areas on the northside are fine, in recent times ask someone before you commit!
