Answers:    Even though the distance is short, you are a citizen of the UK so they will need to see your passport. Remember that you are going from one country to another, they will other need to see your passport, even on the return trip. Have a nice trip!

No not necessarily. You do however need picture self, it has to be legitimate, so a driving licence or student card will suffice.
