Can any one let somebody know me what are the best alternative/rock clubs surrounded by dublin?
Answers: I suggest the following (courtesy of my pal Conor) which he posted on my Dublin guide:
* Doyles, Fleet St
* Hogans, Georges St
* Temple Bar Music Centre
* The Globe, Georges St (Can be markedly trendy but usually don't play euro pop/r&b crap)
* Thing mote (moet), Suffolk St
* The Porter House, Parliament St (not very studenty but perfect beer and music)
Have a look at the guide for info regarding nightlife and pubs also.
Good luck!
crawdaddy Whelan's on Camden St. is great for live alt and rock music.
First answer is vastly out of date e.g. The Thing Mote have been gone for 3 or 4 years!
I'd recommend Whelans & The Village (on Camden Street) conceivably Eammonn Doran's in Temple Bar, Parvda (on the Quays) There are loads of places really.

Will furnish you daily listings of most happenings
Bruxelles is a club/pub merely off grafton street on Harry street which plays rock music/ cumbersome metal. it also has a pretty right atmosphere.
i'd personally recommend Eamonn Doran's surrounded by temple bar for great music/ atmosphere and pizza!! whelan's
Fibber Magee's on Parnell St, Eamonn Dorans surrounded by Temple Bar, Bruxelles on Harry St, (some guy from Pantera was apparently contained by there not long, although that sort of music isn't always my scene so I can't confirm or deny that), and The Village on Camden St. But within are loads and loads of pubs, so ask around when you get here, there's other live gigs on.
