Americans renting cars/driving contained by Ireland?
Some friends and I are planning a trip to Ireland next summer, and after running the perception past a few Irish friends, they recommended that we rent a saloon. How easy is it for Americans to rent a motor in Ireland? And how is driving on the not here side of the road?

Answers: You need to be over 25, hold a current driving licence and a credit card. You'll get used to driving on the moved out fairly fast. i would say hold your wits about you at adjectives times.and under no circumstances permit a drop of liqour pass your mouth.us in ireland are extremely cruel on that.

Renting a motor is easy, I recommend you to rent it through your travel agent, it's cheaper. Most all cars are standard, but auto are available though more expensive. You won't enjoy any trouble driving on the (wrong) side of the road, but read up on roundabouts they are everywhere and you must be in the proper lane up to that time you enter a roundabout, I found them better than lights to control the flo of traffic. Also inquire about a diesel saloon most cars there are diesel, it's cheaper to run and get better mileage, last year I remunerated the equiv. of $1.78 per litre, but 50 miles is a long way contained by Ireland. Insurance is compulsory, I always took full coverage, but you can receive away with rudimentary. If indeed you go to Ireland, a vehicle is a must. Just bear contained by mind that most roads in tourist areas are completely narrow and full of hazardous bends. Don't even think of drinking and driving. Driving on the opposite side of the road than you are used of should not be too discouraging if you are a good driver, merely take it a bit slower than usual until you are used of it.
Rent the car from the US (usually cheaper) and seize every possible insurance you can get (trust me) and you'll be fine
Driving on the vanished is surprisingly easy to find used to, just don't catch too full of yourself and don't even think of drinking
