I have booked a couple of night in Dublin, Xmas Eve and Xmas Day. It is my birthday Xmas Day and I required to do something different. Is there ANYWHERE break open on Xmas Day in Dublin, ie. restaurants, pubs, etc? Also does anyone know of any hotels whose bar may be open Xmas Day? I am interested contained by the city centre singular. Please help!

Answers:    Christmas Eve is great within Dublin, there is a great buzz roughly speaking the place and full of people. However most those start to head home to the suburbs after 7 surrounded by the evening and pubs will then start to close so the staff can catch home. But if you have booked into a hotel you'll be fine, the shaft will remain open.

As for Christmas Day, Dublin can be resembling a ghost town, which can be particularly nice, you'll have the place to yourself. Again if you hold booked into a hotel then you'll enjoy the hotel bar stretch out and you'll get dinner. You can stroll around the city and pop into the large hotels, they are usually open out and will let you contained by for drinks, you should also get dinner, but stick to the big hotels.
Christmas within Ireland is Family Lockdown, my friend. Make the most of the day contained by the hotel, but don't expect anything to happen anywhere else. A few hotels will do Christmas dinner, but you hold to book well contained by advance.
Pubs close for 2 days a year contained by Ireland, Christmas day and virtuous Friday, however some hotels will be open, so I hope you've booked yourself into one, if so you should be fine.

Another transcribe, the bars don't initiate on St Stephens day until deferred afternoon!! But go to Leopardstown see track for a day at the race (horse races) to kill time while your waiting.

ps St Stephens sunshine is boxing day
There are no Pubs, or Restaurants enlarge on Christmas Day in Ireland Where are you Staying? if within a Hotel, then you may find that they will know how to serve Residents only. However, if you are not booked into a Hotel, you will probably be too unpunctually now. Sorry, but I hope you savour your stay in Dublin, and that you do own a Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday for Christmas Day

Google for Dublin Tourist information as they will have up to date info on where on earth can go and what you can do.

nil at all. a few 24 hours shops and petrol stations stay unambiguous, but that's about it. If you're lucky, the hotel public house might be open.and even consequently they will only serve residents of the hotel. i'd recommend you to stock up on alcohol and have a carnival in your room or something. christmas eve is a brilliantly fun hours of darkness to go out on. but be warn, the pubs close at about 12. afterwards you can spend the next light of day recovering from your night out or something.
