Is here a post code for Ireland and what is it.?

To register for yahoo mail it requirements a post code and will not proceed without.

Answers:    As we do not enjoy postcodes just put a full stop into the slot where on earth it asks for a postcode. I get my classes to sign up for Yahoo e-mail regularly and this is what we do. Make sure to use the drop-down menu to select Ireland at Preferred Content in the top not here if you want a .ie address. For some reason the hot sign-up form does not always work the first time the information is submitted and when you click Create E-mail at the end it only reverts to the Yahoo homepage. If this happens lately fill out the form again and submit - it other seems to work the second time!

Postal address in Ireland are similar to those within many other parts of the world. Currently nearby is no national post code system. However, Dublin is divided into postal districts, under a system which be similar to that used in cities elsewhere within Europe until the introduction of postcode systems in the 1960s and 70s.

At the time, Ireland did not follow suit, and An Post did not introduce automated sorting machines for e-mail until the 1990s. By then, the introduction of up to date technology, known as optical behaviour recognition (OCR), expected that machines could “read” whole address, as opposed to basically postcodes. Consequently, mail to address in the rest of the Republic does not require any digits after the address.

An Post have argued that a nationwide public postcode system is unnecessary, describing it as “a 1960s solution to a 21st century problem”. that it would be expensive and that its existing system is superior. Concerns be also expressed by traditionalists that postcodes would undermine the use of historic townland name. (Royal Mail in the UK approached the problem of postcodes contained by rural Northern Ireland by naming previously unnamed roads after the townlands through which they passed, and assigning numbers to houses. The naming of roads was initially refuse by Fermanagh District Council, resulting in a solution (unsatisfactory to some) of a postcode mortal assigned to each townland.) However, courier services and direct messages companies complained that the absence of such a system put Ireland at a disadvantage compared near other European countries.

Those advocating an Irish postcode system point out that lots people living within rural (and even some urban) areas share the same postal address. This become particularly confusing when here are people of matching surname living at different addresses in the same rural townland. This also creates problems for nativity drivers, the emergency services and any visitors unfamilliar to an nouns trying to find an address (especially since in such areas it is uncommon for roads to be named or houses numbered, and predetermined signage indicating where townlands open and end.)
if you put 'none' contained by the postcode box then it will allow you to proceed!
