7 of my friends and I are going to Ireland. Where could i find a cottage or place to stay to hand Dublin city?
We are all 18 so would close to aplace near to the clubbing/lively nouns of DUblin. Would like a place that would jus be for us. Also is taxi and trains expensive in or around Dublin?
Answers: You would be better to contemplate about staying contained by a budget hotel such as the Jury's Inn group. They charge by the room - a quick check for 1 feb reveals EUR135 (euro) per dark, for 3 people:

Both Parnell St and Customs House Quays are inwardly walking distance of the city centre - taxi are expensive (though not over a short distance). The problem with trains and clubbing is that the ending trains leave Dublin around midnight. There are hours of darkness buses - they are cheap:

but you want to check that your accommodation is in the neighbourhood the stop, rather than wandering around the suburbs!
One substitute is the Ibis Dublin West for EUR95 for 3 (breakfast additional EUR9 each):

It is beside the Luas line's Red Cow stop but the ending Luas leaves town at 00:30.
There are also hostels in town - Isaacs and Kinlay House, again, both inside walking distance.
For info on clubbing visit my guide below and I would reaction your comments when you return!
Very expensive spot Dublin.
Housing expensive to rent.
You can stay out of term surrounded by Trinity College Halls.
Need to exercise care at dark.
Risk of violence after 10pm within some areas. Don't go out alone. Watch valuables etc.
The bus and trains are not too desperate.
The tourist spots are all accessible on the hop-on hop-off bus. Day tickets cost 7 to 8 Euros. Gets you to the door of frequent attractions. Catch it on Oconnell St.
Bookshops on Dawson St are good.
For cheap food run to the Epicurean Food Hall (very cheap particularly close to closing time).
Temple Bar have loads of Nite Life.
I'd recommend staying in a hostel surrounded by Dublin.one on the luas line...its the cheapest mode of transport!! Here's a website for hostels...check it out http://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/ire...
Good luck and own a great time! A cottage in Dublin? Hardly. Certainly not fundamental the nightlife areas.
Taxis and trains are horrendous in Dublin, why not dance to Galway, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork or Limerick instead?
Try this link its pretty moral for self catering! Taxis are pricey enuf coz ur often stuck within traffic jams so try procure somewhere as central as you can, but the exotic Luas (Tram) line and buses are pretty believable! Enjoy ur hols!!

yep its expensive..I live in Northern Ireland and wouldn't run to dublin for any money.
Try north Ireland there is more entertainment in that..the odyssy in belfast kellys portrush etc Type ' self catering holiday cottage in Dublin' into google for a broad selection.
Trains aren't that bleak in Dublin.
But why stir there, plenty of other cities contained by Ireland that are cheaper, just as moral...
i live one hour by car from dublin. i can provide studio for all 8 of u. u will enjoy the house to yourself. breakfast provided. 200lb per night. I will provide full concierge service. and drive u to and from nightclub.if u require driving like that it would be extra.
