Isn't it funny that the northern section of Ireland is a different country?

Answers: Its not funny at all surrounded by either category. Years ago it be common for countries to wage period of war on other countries and then occupy them. The British settled Ireland for a long time and still occupy Northern Ireland. It is not a separate country it is part of the island of Ireland and merely a section (6 counties out of 32, Armagh, Antrim, Down, Derry, Tyrone, Fermanagh) which is still beneath the ruling of Britain. It is hard to be in motion into the whole history lacking getting political but take it from an Irish entity it is not at all funny. My guess is that you are from the other side of the Atlantic and it seem to be hard to grasp the real facts near. You could do a bit of research and answers is not really the place to get accurate information, nor is Wikipedia as it is solitary entered by users, some of whom know what they are doing and some of whom dont.
Funny Ha Ha? I can realize how someone might think that.however once you edify yourself and you get rid of the ignorance that lamentably has made peace a difficult hope to hold on to for Northern Ireland and Ireland as a full, you see that it is neither Funny HA HA or Funny Strange. It becomes a heart wrenching authenticity that haunts your dreams when you see the face of Ireland's Children...(read Ireland and Northern Ireland's Children). its not the 'northern part of ireland' its Northern Ireland, of late like Wales is conected to England, and Scotland to England as economically. the northern part of ireland would be Donegal, Leitrum and Monaghan.
Northern Ireland isn't certainly a country, it's a constituent country of the UK.
I would consider it funny-strange since it used to be part of Ireland. Wonder what happen.

isn't it funny that in attendance are countries at all, we should be adjectives one big country (as in planet earth), same talking, same currency etc it would save us a adjectives load of hassle and grief
i suppose the really rich contained by society would never allow that because they would have most to lose within this situation
Yes it is funny that one country still holds a portion of another coun try in a state of unwanted occupation...Yes it is funny that nearby is a semi-undeclared war contained by between people of two difference sect of basically like religion.
