What is the national dress of Ireland?
Answers: Eh...there is none! We wear like clothes as the English now. If your discussion old traditional dress.we dont really enjoy any either!! The Irish be very poor so it be just a léine (shirt) and bríste (trousers).
There are things resembling Irish dancing costumes that are fundamentally celtic and iconic to Ireland but thats not the national dress. Some people right to be heard the kilt is but...its not. Yes thats Celtic traditional dress but no1 within Ireland ever wore them.

Same as everywhere else immediately, there is no true national costume anymore.
But you still call for a good jacket or coat, and a scarf and appropriate shoes if you're going out into the weather.

T-Shirt with a Guinness logo, blue jeans, and welly boots - preferably green ones. Lucky shamrock underpants are not compulsory. lol :-) Shamrock ... Trust me... im from ireland !!
And we irish are not heavy drinkers btw !!

we just wear majority casual clothes, although populace from different places signify us with leprichuns but that isnt true.

sorry i abhorrence to say but nation in Ireland dont wear a national dress any more we dress every body surrounded by the Morden world does Where I come from it's mostly farmers so wellies, wax jackets and/or flat cap are the order of the sunshine

I thought they wore kilts. Plaid kilts, especially. In Northern Ireland it is like peas in a pod as ordinary wear contained by England.
I thought it was the leather teddy bear, but maybe that's only the Irish lassies I know... Boys wear skirts there
