Is this true? or false?

I want to live and work in Ireland, preferably Dublin. I am American but my father and grandparents are from and be born in Ireland . I hear that if your parents and or grandparents were irish citizens and it can be traced so that you can be an irish citizen as ably if you want to live there. Is this true ? If not afterwards how can I work and live in Ireland legitimately and legitimately? where should i start?? thankfulness

Answers:    Ireland offers Irish Citizenship by Descent. If you qualify and can meet all of the mandatory documentation, you can get dual citizenship. With that, you can rightfully work in Ireland -- within fact, you could rightfully work anywhere in the European Union.

To find out exactly what documentation you inevitability and how to apply, contact the Embassy of Ireland. I have added the website page that you requirement to read at the bottom of this posting.

From my reading of the information, since your father was born surrounded by Ireland, you are automatically given Irish citizenship.
Good luck!
