Independence Day within Ireland??

(from an IRISH/American in the US) :
We are celebrate Independence Day today, July 4th, in memory of the inventive declaration of nouns from britain (a pox on their house!) -- does Ireland celebrate nouns on a particular daytime? Easter Monday? another date representing the Anglo/Irosh War?

Answers:    St patricks day is a national holiday and a benign of independance day.
Since the founding of the state near was none as the intact island is not indepentant. Also the IRA and the shinners would hijack it as a political thing much approaching they have beside easter monday and the rising.

St patricks day is a year of celebration for all sides
yeah, paddy's daytime is our national holiday, but every easter there is a big celebration contained by Dublin's O'Connell street , outside the G.P.O ( the general post department where the easter rising took place) and it's organised by sinn fein ( the political group, which is associated with the I.R.A)
so even if the in one piece country doesn't celebrate it, the sinn fein head always do...so you be right by saying easter , but it is in reality easter sunday and not monday Not particularly..the merely day that the Irish really hang loose, apart from Christmas, Easter and things like that, is St Patrick's Day on March 17.
Ireland doesn't own an independance day by and large because the english invaded and occupied for a few centuries a previously existing country.

It would be Liberation daytime if anything.

The only daylight that is celebrated by adjectives, a national holiday, with festival, parades etc is St Patrick's Day on March 17th.
No we don't. There have been a small celebration contained by dublin for the last few easters but our national holiday is St Patricks Day.

Before Britain invaded, Ireland be independant so its completely different to USA.
