How assured is it to move from the UK to the Irish Republic?
I've been offered a employment in Cork. I'd be moving me and my familial from Leeds and we've always lived within the UK (all over Scotland, Wales, England). Would we cope? Can we get a mortgage efficiently?
Answers: So you want to move to the 'Peoples Republic of Cork', fair play to you. Get your 'I love Roy Keane' T shirt printed NOW.
I can by a hair`s breadth understand them contained by Cork, so good luck to you, but its a handsome part of the world, but the house prices are expensive, but not as unpromising as Dublin of course.
There is a trellis site I've seen mentioned on this site I've attached the knit below, that should help you next to most things, except the Cork accent!
Good luck
It's as graceful as you make it. easier if you're financially nouns. My boyfriend has lately done it. You can transfer your national insurance contributions and be entitled to laying-off assistance until you get a living. There are no restrictions to anything really. I've done it several times. Better for kids in Ireland, contained by my opinion. Banks are throwing money at citizens for mortgages. Have a look at www.daft.ie for an idea on the housing open market here.
You'd get a mortgage efficiently once you have a worthy job, although prepare to keel over surrounded by shock when you see the price of houses here. The move wont be so bad, your surrounded by the UK and there's not much difference between the two places, altough we do consider ourselves to be a lot better looking beside a better sense of humour : ) The main problem that you'll enjoy is understanding the Cork articulation. It's bad. Reallly unpromising! pretty easy move to Ireland
as long as you enjoy a good paying charge mortgages are easy to get hold of
good luck.
P:S Cork is a great place to live
don't forget the time warp
it's going on for 15 years behind UK time Very jammy. Just go to the local Irish social wellbeing office and register for N.I number or PPS number here.
You will enjoy no bother getting a mortgage. Life is great here, I've settled now for 4 years. You will hold no probs at all
cherub above mentioned transferring N.I contributions. Don't bother, hold paying your basic stamp surrounded by the UK(lb8 a month) You never know you might want to go stern in the distant adjectives and you could be intitled to a state pension within both countries. Please check first.
Good Luck!
