u can run to kabalishwar temple in mylapore,hanuman temple within naganalore and vadabalani temple.u can hire a call taxicab. but i can't tell u the amount because the amount change from one place to another. Hi My suggestion is to take an organised partly a day sightseeing tour of the city contained by the morning.You can do it with Tamilnadu Tourism Development corporation. Chennai is also the Cultural means of the south. If you are interested in Music and Dance you could step for a concert or Performance. The daily rag Hindu will list such programs. Most of them are free. You can also spend the evening on the marina Beach.
Best place to move about is Tirupati ( approx 100 miles)
