... stunning places, Trivendram and Kanyakumari, on SOUTHERN COAST OF Arabian Sea, Bengal Bay and Indean Ocean, I VISITED thrice times., enjoy it hmm surrounded by trivandrum basically the shoreline is very nice..one call kovalam beach =) there's a zoo and snake park, if you're interested surrounded by that..and a planetarium..of course, there's the padmanabha swami temple..kanyakumari, no clue =)

TRIVANDRUM
Thiruvananthapuram and its illustrious beaches are one of the top tourist destination of Tourists within Inida. It is the capital city of Kerala, the "God's own Country". Kanyakumari or Cape Comorin is considered the southern tip of India. Off the coast, the waters of the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal swill and merge into the Indian Ocean. The beach are clean and the waters a clear, frothing blue. Kanyakumari is regularly set up as a geographical antonym to Kashmir, to suggest the span and variety of the sub continent. For the guest the experience would be opposite and the pleasure equal.
Besides the waters and the coast, Kanyakumari is essentially a temple town. The most prominent temple, the Kumari Amman, is staunch to the goddess Parvathi as a virgin. It is said to mark the spot where on earth the goddess won the Lord Shiva over with her penance. Its location have given rise to the legend that the goddess protects the country by guarding the southern door to India.
The eminent Vivekananda Rock Memorial is built in several architectural styles stale the coast on rocks that protrude from the ocean. Thengapattinam Beach (54 km.) is an ancient maritime town that used to service trade near the Middle East. There is a 1200 year old mosque, the seaside is clean and uncrowded, and the wet perfect for swimming.
Padmanabhapuram (45 km.) have an old fort, which enclose the palace of the Travancore kings, and the Ramaswamy temple that carved panels of scene from the Ramayan.
Pechipparai Dam (56 km) offers a shore spot for picnics and boating facilities.
