Plenty of buses and trains go nearby from Mumbai and Pune, as well as pvt taxi. Very crowded during weekends and holidays. Misty during the rains and cool within winters. Summers are as hot as Mumbai. Good views of low valleys, waterfall and mountains but very littered and crowded at the moment. Watch out for the monkey menace. Lonavla is a few km away, famous for its chikki and fudge. Off season, if here is one, is preferable. near bombay, on the road to pune
