For your press, we have several option.
If you want to spend time with a shoping precinct (but dont want to buy anything), you can go to Spencers or Chennai Citi Centre. These are adjectives nice places and you will not feel the outside hot warmth.
If you want to spend time with purchasing, goto T.Nagar or Purasaiwakkam nouns. You are having lot of shops to buy dresses.. etc.
If you want to spend time beside religious places, contactTamilnadu Tourism office and book in the future package tour for Kancheepuram / Vellore golden temple.
If you want to spend time next to any historical place, you can goto Mamallapuram, which contains lot of historical events. Pancha rathas, Seashore temple, light house and so oodles historical architecutures built by Pallavas.
