Hello
Always you can get instantaneous tax surrounded by the border
with within 10-20 minutes you can get entry tariff for any state u can avail at the border of all states entry.
progress and check with the officer and retribution don't pay BRIBE to them, obtain bill for all your payments.
Hotel - BEST and Safety is more...Hotel Tamil Nadu within all district Head quaters, do't be in motion to stay in travelers Buglow, it's worst. BEST is Hotel Tamil Nadu manage by Tamilnadu Govt.
I can tell you in the order of hotels and sights in Ooty as I be there end week and go repeatedly in sour season. TTDC gives you a verbs, very massive Deluxe double room for 700 - presently off season rate : you can book online at http://tamilnadutourism.org/ Try and obtain room no.2 which has verandahs on both sides - sunrise/sunset
Hotel TamilNadu is best located on a small hillock, 5 min away from Commercial St / Charring Cross, even so very inactive and peaceful. Only own breakfast there, devour lunch and dinner outside - much better food only 5 min away at Comm. St. - adjectives budgets. Hotel Blue Hills serves tasty food at adequate rates, otherwise Guju thalis are available elsewhere or S. Indian meals / Chinese etc. Do buy fudge from King Star on Comm. St. and delight in puffs and cakes at any bakeries - Ooty bakeries is flawless.
Sights: You can drive or walk to the Botanic Gardens (15min) and Lake (25 min). At the Lake you can lug a boatride and a short but enjoyable trainride. Must do: train ride from Ooty to Coonoor and spinal column - 1hr each method. You can book the tickets at the Station half hour earlier the train, wonderful views both ways. Since you own your own vehicle, you can do one day going to Wenlock downs: tip: after 9th mile, step one km further and on the left you will find a better grassland (downs) minus any public and litter, its simply wonderful with famous views of Mukurthi best moment and surrounding mountains. Proceed further to Pykara, the waterfalls come first - 1 km pace - pretty but not much water at the moment. Pykara sea is beautiful and serene, run a boat ride here. If you like outlook, there are pine forests, eucalyptus woods and patch of dense shola forests along the Ooty Pykara route. you can stop anywhere and take a march inside the forests, its simply wonderful. Note: Roads are bad and roadworks presently surrounded by progress. From Thalaikundah you can take the Masinagudi road upto Mudumalai WLS and bring the jungle safari in the afternoon, however since you are coming from Mysore, you can do this and consequently carry on to Ooty. The drive uphill from Masinagudi to Ooty is especially scenic and good road condition. Do product a trip to Dodabetta (15min drive from TTDC) - at 2632m its the highest highlight with 360 level views adjectives round. You can also do the Coonoor circuit: Lambs rock, Dolphins Nose, Laws Falls if you have an extra time, or better still is the drive (20km) to Avalanche Reserve Forest passing by the striking Emerald and Avalanche Lakes - its very pristine, fresh and serene out in attendance and you will definitely see nilgiri langurs along the route, if lucky elephants (guaranteed nr. Mudumalai). A most scenic, and clean route is Kotagiri to Mettupalayam or atleast constituent of the way, ratification through tea gardens, mixed forests with really few people around and excellent roads. Buy your saturate of eucalyptus and other aromatic thailams, spices, tea and the ubiquitous home made chocolates. Toda shawls and silver ornaments are pretty but overpriced. Mornings and evenings are quite cold but daytime is glorious sunshine - best combination of soaring altitude and low latitude. Enjoy your trip.
