If I learn Hindi would I know how to communicate with most general public from India? What is the best language for me to swot so I can communicate with as various people as possible?

generosity 2 india. u can communicate with indian general public in hindi confidently. in northern india mostly citizens understand hindi & english & surrounded by big cities too but in southern india u can find english verbal communication suitable b 'coz in this cog people use other lang.eg. tamil, telgu etc. [hindi is also used there] within eastern india people read both lang. if u want to go within villages of india than u own 2 use hindi.
Generally You can communicate by Both the English and Hindi languages..

English is the most permitted language.
Although Hindi is the most adjectives languge in India but 40% of Indian Location does not allow to use Hindi.
English is agreed in 100% locations.
Most of Indians (except extreme villages) will get the message English. However Hindi along with English would be best.

hindi and english English is India's 2nd vocalizations. But it depends where you be in motion. In north side Hindi is more spoken than English. In South people speak more English and south indian language as they do not speak hindi at all. In big cities and tourist places society speak english but in village and small cities people do not speak english but they can work out.
Some people within India they want to show off that they can speak english and they speak english even though they can speak hindi massively well.
In short if you speak english you will not enjoy any problem in India.
