Bangalore to Pondicherry - how protected and comfortable is the drive?
I am planning a 3-day weekend in Pondicherry contained by the end of Jan 08. How long will the 320kms-drive filch from Bangalore to Pondy? Are there ample petrol pumps along the way? And do they enjoy clean washrooms? Lastly, if I bestow from Bangalore on saturday (a) 5am and start the return journey from Pondy (a) lunchtime on monday, is that enough time to wallow in all that Pondy have to offer?

I did this trip in 5.30 hrs three years ago and my best bet would be to take something to munch on.I never noticed any rest rooms.Things might hold changed now, but i doubt that markedly much.
Fuel is slightly cheaper in Pondicherry, so don't be surprised to see a long queue of Bangalore registered vehicles at the fuel bunks.
