Can you furnish me some suggestions for my trip to India? I'm going to Bombay, Delhi, and Agra...?

I'm going for a friends wedding, and will spend two sseeks within Bombay, and 1 week in Delhi and Agra ( I a moment ago have to see the Taj Mahal!)
Do you hold any suggestions for quality on the other hand cheap hotels, sights I have to see- unusual or touristy- religious or secular, places to drink, things to watch out for, places to shop, and any other savvy traveling tips? I've never be to India before...

MUMBAI:

I LOVE IT!!
There is do much to see and do there.

First of adjectives you may get the arbitrary to be an extra in a Bollywood picture which is so fun!!
I have be an extra in moderately a few films as casting agents walk around tourist areas picking up tourists!
Dont know whether thats of any interest to you but it is such an experience!!

* Gateway of India:
The Gateway of India ( ) is a monument in Mumbai. Located on the waterfront within South Mumbai, the Gateway is a basalt arch 26 metres high. The Gateway is traditionally the first point visitors arriving by boat would see of Mumbai. This circular stone building was converted from a public foyer some years ago and now have elegant art gallery on each floor rising up to its dome. A small auditorium at the top occasionally hosts performances and discussions on art and theatre.

* Knesseth Eliyahod Synagogue:

Built by the Sassoon Family surrounded by 1884, this synagogue is one of two elegant synagogues (the other located surrounded by Byculla). Intricately designed, the light blue exterior compliments the vibrant interior specifically made up of stained glass window. Still functioning, this synagogue is well maintain by the Jewish communities of central Mumbai.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus:

The station building, built in 1888, is a breathtaking and ethereal building designed in the Venetian Gothic style of architecture. The building exhibits a fusion of influences from Victorian Italianate Gothic Revival architecture and traditional Indian architecture. Internally, the wood carving, tiles, enhancing iron and brass railings, grills for the ticket office, the balustrades for the noble staircases and other ornaments were the work of students at the Bombay School of Art. The station stands as an example of 19th century railway architectural marvel for its advanced structural and technical solutions.

* Marine Drive/Chowpatti Beach:

At the top conclusion of Marine Drive is Chowpatty Beach, the only coast in the inner part of Mumbai. It is the anithesis to the sophisticated and manicured lawns of Mahalaxmi Racecourse, although it is only a few hundred yard away. This is the fascinating place where on earth Mumbai's laundry is done. Clothes are washed by hundreds of Dhobis (laundry men and women) by appendage, on concrete sinks and dried in the sun, as it have been done for generation. A visit to Mumbai is incomplete lacking witnessing the early morning deeds of this place. With the busy local trains passing by, passenger hanging out and colourful laundry anyone dried in the sparkling sun, photographic opportunity are numerous.

HOTELS:

In Bombay you can get a hotel for in the region of lb6 a night - low(about 500 rupees), but you will probably want to spend around lb10 - medium (about 875 rupees) a dark for a better quality hotel or more say aloud lb15 a night - elevated (1300 rupees).

So that would mean your budget for 2 weeks should be:
low: lb84
prevailing conditions: lb140
high: lb196

Thats not closely for 2 weeks accomodation in the most expensive place contained by India and you don't have to book within advance as in that are so many hotels.

U Can catch hotel as cheapst price in Pahar Ganj, karol bagh. in attendance only 100 Rs Charges for sooner or later. if u want to see delhi. plz take a delhi tour bus (operated by DTC) fare 60 rs for sooner or later u see all the historical places contained by delhi. like India proceeds, red fort, jantar mantar, kutub minar, humau makbara etc. (u can contact : sindhi house near connaughat place and british dignified commission) it is the head quater of Delhi Transport Corporation.
