Are in that any Tiger sancturies in close proximity or within Delhi?
I will be in Delhi for 5 days singular in March. Apart from checking out the Taj Mahal and other forts I would love to see the Tigers. Im aware of Rathamone (excuse spelling) and Corbett park but these are 8 hour drives.
I be hoping to maybe spent the hours of daylight or if need be 1 darkness where the tigers are.
Any info would be appreciated
Answers: Nearest place from Delhi is Siriska surrounded by Rajasthan, where you can expect to see tiger & leopards.
Itis not in good health organized sanctuary so make a 1 daylight visit or stay at Alwar. Siriska is more or less 60kms from Alwar on NH-8. It is the place liked especially much by late P.M. Rajiv Gandhi. There is a forest lodge for overnight stay. If you arise to be there, purely visit Lake Palace Hotel at Silisedh,10kms from Alwar. it's a worthy picnic point and children will love it.
Go to Corbett... that's your best chance to see tigers. but yes... if you are planning your trip around Taj and forts, next Ranathambor would be more appropriate and convenient to include in your itinerary. Don't dissipate your time in Sariska... near are no tigers there... and soon here will be no trees there any ;-) www.delhitourism.com
Sorry to say but if you want to see tiger you own to Ranthambore or Corbett. Earlier there be Sarisa and that was 3 hrs drive from Delhi but deplorably there are no Tigers as of in a minute. So If you are visiting Agra you can call on Ranthambore for Tigers. If you need more info you can drop by holiday club india .net
