Use it to better yourself, exercise work on your appearance, or read and work on your knowledge or do something excitingly strange and meet new people in the process. Life is about learning.through books and experience and people. So don't sit in front of you T.V. and watch other people live a fantasy life.live your own.
I would say the most useful thing you can do is spend time with friends and family. Maybe make up a list of chores that need to be done around the house, or even go to movie. It's hard to define what you think is useful because your thoughts more then likely vary from mine. But those are some of things with most of my time out of work.
pray before and after sleeping, eating and working. develope a hobby, attend parties, work diligently if you are employed, visit friend and sick relatives, volunteer in charitable activities, attend seminars and livelihood trainings, see a movie,help your parents in household chore, help your siblings with thier assignments, be productive, read and read and read. If you really want it you will never waste a single second of your life.
