Taking a dalit individual to a fancy restaurant?
If I went to India and took a dalit soul (an untouchable) to a fancy restaurant; what would the reaction be? Would it come and go greatly person to character, place to place?
Hypothetical question...probably unlikely since I don't speak Hindi and I hold heard the lower classes don't mostly speak English. I was merely wondering how deep the class differences within India are today with adjectives of the social changes going on in attendance.

You can spin a rope out of sand ,but you can never expect a true answer from a hindu especailly people similar to our friend sita.I hope you want to know about the Indian situation especially near regard to dalits.

Actually the associates u are mentioning (the dalits ) r not counted as human beings.They don't come under any of this four category .They are call ' Out-castes.'

If you take a dalit presently a days (of course in his usual poor dress ) the table waiter of the Restaurant will just look down upon you and also only just treat him will a little negligence .No doubt. If the dalit reveals his identity widely ,then the table waiter won't hesitate even to frown at you. They won't even wane to just drop down the food items on the table. Since it is a a short time ago business place such things are not noticed much.But the dalit man should be surrounded by an honourable and respectable garment .It is better not to reveal his identity.
If the Manager of the restaurant is a dalit ( unknown to the Owner ), and if some source of his identity is found ,no doubt ,in 24 hours the dalit manager will be sent home.
Like Moses skilled Israelites, Manu taught the Hindus how to browbeat and suppress the dalits.

In India not a soul would ever ask your caste, religion or community when you enter a restaurant. Culturally fancy restaurants are never worried about your seed.
The caste system is limited one and only to private gatherings. In small village even 'Daliths' do not entertain other 'Daliths' who are considered to be of lower community by them !

The word Dalit itself is objectionable as per backword class forum. Class difference is there but not alarming as it presented.. near are millionair in backwprd classes... fruits of nouns has reach masses... Dalits itself are more responsible to remain as dalit as they want to hold on to indentity to get benefits... You are most greeting in India and wallow in the hospitality of great Indian restaurant along with dalit personality. Now in India great personality are ruling to Indians from these casts.Practically no strike difference is exists in India immediately.
