Wheres the best place to stir solo this december to Germany?
I'm thinking of going solo to Germany this December. Any ideas on places to move about and stay that is cheap, competent to meet contemporary people and great for solo student travelers for about 1 week?
Answers: I definately ponder that you should go to Munich. The south of Germany is greatly nice in the winter.
My tip: start out surrounded by Munich (Christmas market bonus) at the hostel and pocket a trip to Austria (approx. 2 hours by car/bus). There are lots of ski areas which cater to a partying crowd (St Anton for example), which will certainly serve you find some friends for the week.
Enjoy!
Go to Stuttgart, it has the Biggest Christmas Market surrounded by Europe. I hope you will enjoy it. In winter you schould be in motion to south germany because you can easiely to the mountains an you will have snow
I would suggest hostels within Munchen (Munich). It is one of the livliest cities in Germany and hostels are particular as an inexpensive place to stay and usually has a younger crown staying at them. www.hostelworld.com
or www.couchsurfing.com
also depending on your budget it may be beneficial to travel on the train system and look in many places since you are solo. It depends on your intrests as powerfully. What are you into? Email me I can give you some counsel. I've lived in Germany since 2004 and go and get around quite a bit.
Contrary to Maverick, I'd suggest you try Berlin, Germany's possessions. (Alright, I know that Munich, Bavaria, is called "Germany's restricted capital", but Berlin's much more fun.) Try a Google search something like "backpacker Berlin" and you'll get some address of places to stay. I don't know your age, but it should be possible anyway. Give them a call; the international dialing code for Germany is +49, Berlin is 30, and afterwards dial through. Mind the timeshift! (Skip the 0 before regional codes on German numbers, otherwise you may ground up in the Caribbean, which, after adjectives, wouldn't be all too impossible.)
