Go to Sachsenhausen, a suburb, for dinner or lunch. There you'll draw from original Frankfurt food and Aeppelwein (alcoholic Appel Cider).
Browse around the city and shop. The Zeil is the leading street. Many main European brands hold their shops there.
Stop by the Alte Oper to see a classical building. That's also close to Fressgass which have a lot of lunch places. Some extraordinarily modern!

I live in close proximity Frankfurt and I ask the same put somebody through the mill every weekend. There is nothing deeply spectacular in Frankfurt. It is also a city which contained by not made for tourists. You can visit the "R"omer" , a place within front of the majors house. There is the Paulskirche, the first German Parliament.
