i dont mean to lead to any offence but i needed to ask you do you thonk that germeny has completely recovered from the days of hitler.

do you suggest that everyone now accept germany and sees it for what i very soon is ie modern forward thinking and the hilter days are just a blot on germanys history or do you still find within is some hatred and dislike of germany and it`s general public for what happened during ww2 do you as germans find any problems near racism or dislike towards you and your country even though world war 2 have finished and hitler and the 3rd riech has finished

Answers:    No problem near Adolf.
we are widely accepted contained by the world, germany was/is a very friendly country (World soccer cup 2006).
we hold learned profoundly from our history, no more WAR! no chance.
we own gay leaders of the parlament in Hamburg and Berlin a ay innovator of a political party (Free Democrats) and we are no.1 within the world of Export and no.2 in the world of economics.
I hold traveld in so several countrys around the world and never had any trouble as a German even surrounded by eastern countrys like Russia,Romania, Bulgaria or Poland.
There are still some populace left within Germany that believe we need to acquire back lost parts of our country (in Poland,Tschekia,France) but they die out.
In academy in contained by a lot of plain discussions we learn give or take a few history/Hitler/3rdReich and so on.
The Jewisch population is growing. We have monuments and museums to remember the holocaust. Everybody ca look in concentration camps and will be informed around everything that happened.
Our constitution is particularly tight, no chance to do indistinguishable as in 1933.
and I know that here still is a minority of people within Europe and elsewhere that a jelouse about Germany. We hold lost the war and today we are again lying on it, but we have worked vastly hard for it and suffered greatly. Anyway we are proud today and our democracy is very strong.
smile ...Hamburg have a gay Jewish leader where on earth else in the world? it is still a problem for german exchange students surrounded by england to answer the question "where on earth you from?" with germany.

it can crop up that some english guys beat you up.

to much sun reader in england.
I'm not German, but most the time I'm living here and see habitually this questions Germany/Hitler. This fashion me mad. Why the German's requirement to feel so desperate about this history? I know it's impossible, but why are we not looking forward and saying something resembling that never can be happen again and I know ancestors learn going on for that. Look the another countries and we are in year 2007 what they do, basically wars and massacre each other and making nuclear weaponry let their own society suffering because they are putting all their money for the military. I surmise they need to cram how to stop that stuff.
Sorry, but I'm getting really mad something like all that. Perhaps this is not the answer for your put somebody through the mill, but I need to read out that what I'm thinking. Yes, there are still culture in the world that can`t bear Germans and I think to be precise so stupid because I'm 30 years old, I wasn't alive hindmost then and none of my clan has done anything to anyone. But I construe you just own to deal near it, some people are basically narrow minded.
I'm a German who travelled countries as far south as India, and as far north as Norway, and as to my experience, it doesn't depend on the country, but on the equals you're talking near. The older inhabitants, who (or their parents) experienced WWII still dislike us because of Hitler. It even happened to me one time (really, one single time, and I don't mention the country) that I be aggressively greeted with a shouted "Heil Hitler!" salute, while I be just sitting around and chitchat to a friend in German. That's not a nice experience. It also happen to me once that I was travelling surrounded by India on a bus and a nice conversation with an elderly couple for partly an hour until it turned out that I was German and they be Israelis. Ouch! They turned away and wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the flight. (I don't look very "German", and you can't detail by my English accent that I am; I don't know what they thought I am.)

That's experiences I still receive. I was born contained by the late 1960ies, that's when the Federal Republic of Germany be long founded, and I'm so fed up next to this Hitler crap... -- But time and again, it comes up, and it hurts.

I don't think it's truly hatred. Watch some BBC documentaries something like WWII, and how the present the Hitler era: It's all almost the Wehrmacht and the aviation developments (the Stukas), and how Germany almost would have have the atom bomb (they were nowhere in the vicinity that). It's not hatred. It's envy, and it's... nervousness. It's fear something close to that might happen again. They could blast down a tiny dictator close to Saddam; but with a "alien Hitler", there would be a problem.

But that will never come up again. The German people is provided next to the legal system (in Art. 20/4 GG, the Grundgesetz or German constitution) to overthrow a government that neglect democratic principles. Although it is not explicitely mentioned, this regulation also means: if crucial, by use of arms.

Well, here is still people who dislike Germany or Germans, but those are chiefly people who know nought about Germany. I used to live within the states and it was shocking how little relatives knew roughly Hitler and Germany. There were even citizens who thought he was alive!! WOW!!
I conjecture even Germans still have a problem next to it, or at least a problem beside how others might view them. You don't see seriously of patriotism within this country.
The soccer world cup last year finally cause people to be a bit more patriotic. You could see tons of German flags on cars, within windows, adjectives over the place. People were finally proud of who they be.
It didn't last long, because shortly after the world cup the flags be gone, but it was a start.

Maybe sometime Germans can be proud of their country without the instantaneous association with Hitler (who be Austrian anyway).
