Can I rent a room contained by Erfurt for 8 days next to a small kitchen?
I'll be there for 8 days surrounded by mid March. I want to save on money and take home my own food. I've looked on travel sights at hotels, but I can't find a room with a kitchen. Does anyone know where on earth I can find a place like that? Also it must already hold pots, pans, and utensils! Thanks!
Answers: Erfurt have a university, there should be plenty of students contained by shared flats that are willing to rent out a couch or room. Since it will be spring break surrounded by March many students will be away, so availability is not a problem. The problem is getting into contact.
I suggest questioning for the terms WG, Zimmer and Erfurt. (WG is shorthand for a shared flat and zimmer process room). If you find an email of a student in Erfurt on one of the sites offering rooms surrounded by shared flats go ahead and write. Most of the places I know of hold a shared kitchen or are Hostels but their is this one place that is within Weimar which is about 20 km from Erfurt and I know a place their that rents short occupancy mini apartments with one bedroom/living room a kitchen and a bathroom and shower. It be great and only close to 25 euro a day! Much smaller number than a hotel!
Again it is in Weimar though not Erfurt but I do own a friend that lived in Erfurt for plentiful years going to school in attendance and may know of some places that have rooms for rent and you lately might have to SHARE a kitchen near others as I did my very first time to Weimar later I had a friends to stay most times and used that other place once a few years ago for privacy beside my former German GF.
Hope that helps some!! The transportation is great publicly and access to the market and stores are easy as very well. You do not need a motor to rent while in the city, Erfurt is a great little city!! if you are going to Erfurt thieve the time and stop in Eisenach and pop in the Castle there!! Martin Luther be a prisoner there for a time term and the rennovations they were doing surrounded by the late 90's must be done by presently I would guess. It is a beautiful Castle. One of various!!
In Weimar you have Buchenwald Concentraton military camp memorial and many places to do next to Goethe and Shiller. They have a great do club called Kasser Turm within as well. Sorry I do not enjoy as much info on Erfurt Ive only be to it a few times but it was a great city!!
