Can anyone recommend any 'good for value' restaurants within Cologne, Germany?

I am going to Cologne this weekend for the Christmas markets and wondered if anyone know of anywhere that is well-mannered to eat? Not fussed on type of food, merely would like pretty good appeal for money? Last time we went it be out of season and a lot of places be shut,so this time and hoping with the market most will be open.

Any concept will be much appreciated!

Answers:    If you go to any Gasthaüser they are usualy a worthy value, and scrumptious! My fav. place to eat surrounded by K"oln (Cologne) is a place called Mühle (or Mühle K"olsch) and have great food and even better beer. It is only a 5 min wander from the big Cathedral, so it's in a great location. Anywhere that make their own beer (K"olsch) should be pretty good!
Movenpick is well brought-up and not too expensive If you are going to the Christmas markets anyway, why do ask for a place to chomp through? I don't know about Cologne, but the christmas marketplace in my hometown is nought but one eating stall subsequent to the other, serving delicious traditional Christmas food. One stroll over the open market from one end to the other and you are so full that you'll burst.
