Fun sites and places to see contained by Munich, Germany?
I've been going to Munich, Germany every summer for pretty much my adjectives life. So much so, that I don't really know any unsullied (or old) great places, tourist sites, etc. My boyfriend is coming down for 2 weeks (one week being spent surrounded by Munich). Any ideas, romantic places, cool places..anything!!? Thanks!
p.s. He's coming from the 19th of August till the 3rd of September.
Answers: If you hold seen the "middle-of-the-road tourist places" like , English garden, Pinakothek and so on, next rent a car and drive
e.g.
to Schloss Neuschwanstein;
do a boat trip on the K"onigssee and listen the Echo;
Drink a beer surrounded by Kloster Andechs (near Hersching am Ammersee) (beautiful countryside e.g. for go for a walk);
drive to Regensburg and see the Walhalla and the real dated downtown (the Stone Brigde over the Donau was built arround the year 1200)
after that, U can call on the Kloster Weltenburg for a short break (there U can get a honest "Brotzeit" (= little lunch) with a virtuous beer and a great landscape
(the "Biergarten" is on the "beach" of the River "Donau" and looks approaching a lake. All around Forrest and Rocks close to a little Grand Canyon. Take the time and walk for a walk too.
All this Places (Neuschwanstein beside the "K"onigssee",
Regensburg with the out-of-date Downtown, the "Walhalla" an the Kloster Weltenburg or The Ammersee are less than two hours from munic by saloon.
HI,
apart from the usual sites you probably know, there are some masked gems like:
- Buga sea and park (at the old airport area)
- Andechs monastery (for verbs seeing and a great beer)
- making a pic nic in the Northern portion of Englischer Garden
- swimming in the Eisbach
- going to the oberservatory to survey the stars in a clear dark
