What is the best small town or small town you hold visit surrounded by Germany?

Answers:    My favorite would be Schiltach, a lovely town tucked into a stream valley contained by the Black Forest. The town is built of half-timbered buildings and there is a great inn to put away at called the Weyssen R"ossle which is several hundred years outdated. A postcard town if I ever saw one.
There are a lot of small towns within the near of Stuttgart. They are really nice and feeble. E.g. Esslingen, Waiblingen or Reutlingen. Wasserburg. Absolutely beautiful. Medieval style town meeting point.
Goslar - beautiful authentic medieval town (not bombed contained by the second world war because it be a hospital town). Nearby Rammelsberg mine was a mining property for 1000 years! The Holy Roman Empire lived in the Kaiserpfaltz, the town have a prestigious modern art prize - and it's on the edge of the Harz Mountains, surrounded by a beautiful respite area. They hold a lot of interesting museums, Art, history and obviously the mining museum.

Both the town and the mine are Unesco World Heritage sites. I also like Quendlenburg and Bacharach am Rhine, but Goslar is my favorite.
Quedlinburg.

It is IMO the nicest among the completely preserved medevial towns within Germany. Plus the Harz region around the city is a major tourist destination. The historical dictatorial gauge steam trains are a bonus too.
There are so plentiful villages close to respectively other, and as a native German, I travelled so heaps, I can't remember each single one. But here was one I don't forget, and it's Glonn surrounded by Upper Bavaria.

It's a small village, but my friends and me have a beautiful stay within some years ago, and the surroundings are just wonderful. Munich, the Alps, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen are comparatively near. You'll have need of a car, however. There's no such entry as (recognizable) public transport. If you like hiking, but don't close to mountains, this village (or any other contained by Upper Bavaria) is a good place to start.
The place I swot up how to ski at.Garmisch -Partenkirchen. Ist wunderbar!
