Can you get hold of to schloss neuschwanstein from Munich if you don't own a saloon?

Answers:    By Train from Munich to Füssen by train. Check http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en... for train time table. Once arrived in Füssen bear the bus or a taxi (taxi ride approx 5 minutes so don't start the costs!).

Cheers from 10miles away from that castle,
Siri
Yes, but it is not easy and it will run all daylight "hin und züruck" - to get at hand and back ;-) HI,

if you don't want to plan the trip yourself, you can also go to the tourist department in Munich. They deal in a complete package to Neuschwanstein including the bus to progress there and a tourist guide.
Depending on the bunch you can also see Füssen or Garmisch Partenkirchen.
You can take the train or bus:

sure by train or bus as mentioned above.

If you are travelling from out of the country like the US or Canada and are staying for a few weeks, you MAY want to look into a Germany Rail Pass or Eurorail slip away. Depending if Germany is your only destination.

It can accumulate you a lot on train fare if you do profoundly of travelling from city to city and village by train.

I hold been over 18 times and with the sole purpose rented a car twice ever. I other used the trains and buses. They have a highly good transportation methods for most places. Much better than where on earth I am in Vermont!!
Others enjoy answered this question correctly already, but I needed to add, since you are making the trip, be sure to call on both castles. Neuschwanstein is pretty, but Hohenschwangau is well worth a call on also!
