Thanks surrounded by advance to anyone who can help1

Answers:    Do you ahve any theory what city or town he was from? If so, you can see if there's any library of his trips. You might try contacting the German Consulate and go that road as well. Try this association:http://www.germany.info/relaunch/index.h...
If you just use the German phone book
http://www.telefonbuch.de/?la=en&sp=0&ak...
I don`t know that will already help. You don't entail to specify a city; in this crust, a nationwide turn out will be done, and if the name is not too adjectives, you should be able to identify him in the search results.
Enter the autograph "first name first", and also try abbreviation, like if his dub is "Hans Schmidt", try this, but also "H. Schmidt" or only "Schmidt".
If he have no phone book entry (you don't need to hold one in Germany if you opt against it), however, afterwards this won't help. But it's worth a try.

Well, Sandy, anyone can do that, just by using the interconnect I posted. (Wonder who gave me that thumb down?)

edit2:
I didn't thumb down Sally. Would be against my "thumbs policy".
A thumb up for Alwin --- his thought is mine.
