Are in attendance any buried budget friendly bearing to travel from Munich to Vienna this summer?

I am backpacking/honeymooning there contained by a few weeks, and all I can find is a highly expensive train. It seems impossible that this is the merely option.

Answers:    Rent/buy a bicycle. Take the train to Passau beside Bayernticket and ride along the Danube bike trail. Cost: depending solely on the distance you manage per daylight and how much you spent on accomodation.

Another option could be to cross the border into the Czech Republic and bear a Czech train to Bratislava.

If this is too complicated, check the bus:

Try a low-cost airline. It will probably manor in Bratislava though not Vienna (but Bratislava is freshly 1 hr away and there are frequent buses)

Try also renting a sports car. Maybe it will be less than the train tickets.
I'm not sure if Ryan nouns flies out of Munich, but I know it flies out of Frankfurt. Thier rates are EXTREMELY cheap, I think it be 54 euro to fly from Frankfurt to Rome roundtrip. You basically merely pay for the taxes (which are sometimes greater than the ticket price) Anyway, they have a website: http://www.ryanair.com Check it out. Find out if they allow Hitch Hiking.
Hi,

the train is an resort, if you can get a cheaper promotional ticket, but usually it is relatively expensive.

You can try for a flight, sometime Lufthansa offers flights starting from 99 Euro on a return flight. Check at their website.

Another possibility is the "Mitfahrzentrale" , this is some ceremonial way of hitchhiking. Drivers volunteer available seats within their car and charge you segment of the gasoline costs.
As this is done over a profit organisation, they charge you a small amount on top, but then you are insured and it is risk-free, because drivers have to depart adress, show their passport, etc.
You can find more information here:
www.mitfahrzentrale.de
I used to do this when I was a student, but you never know how the "driving style" of your driver will be and it can be daunting sometimes.

Probably the best and cheapest pick for you is the bus, called "Europabus". They segment from the busstation in Froettmaning (where the Allianz Arena is) and the price should be powerfully under 40 Euro (I don't know the exact price).

Night trains. booked finance, EUR29 Euros.
But today the B Bahn workers are on strike- so do not expect much help till Monday Hi Katy,

you are right, a average ticket costs 79 Euro one way.

Have you ever thought in the order of travellin over night?
There is a train call EuroNight (EN).
Time of departure is 23:45 and you'll arrive in Vienna 05:55 subsequent day.
If you book within time you can get it for 29 Euro one style.
That's rather cheap.

Two possibilities to book.

First:

try your travel date and book online.

this is give or take a few night-trains and EuroNight.

If you have any problems contact the Deutsche Bahn or do not dawdle to ask me.

Hope you enjoy your stay.
