Where would an English speaker look for employment surrounded by Mainz or Wiesbaden, Germany?
I recently moved to Mainz Germany from Scotland UK, but i can individual really speak basic or "ground level" Deutsch... I am questioning every where for employment, but at present my spoken German hinder me, could anyone suggest a route for seeking out work i may be suitable for or for someone near English as their first language?

Answers: I only just had done the unbelievably same move, only from the US to Mainz. I found it terrifically difficult to find employment, but I was offered a commission at Frankfurt International Airport and on Base jobs.
Since I looked-for to attend Mainz University, I went to a local spoken communication school in attendance in Mainz. They promise a 2 year program will reward you the fitness to speak fluent German. Its 4 days a week 8am-12:30.
I highly recommend study the language. Its terrifically difficult but the little I knew help me a long ways. If I were still within Mainz I would be more than glad to meet up next to you. I regret leaving but merely did so because my profession interest is not provided there (P.A.).
Don't forget one of the most high-status things about working surrounded by Germany, the visa. I had a student visa that simply allowed me to work 18 or so hours a month... Without a German visa, you will find it even harder to get employed.
Once I complete the program here surrounded by the US I will be back over nearby working on the base as a civilian. My best warning is just to get up up everyday and attack the language, relentlessly.

I worked for partially a year at UPS in Wiesbaden.I'm german, but I know they also adopt native english speakers, since at hand were a few ex-military working there.The position wasn't great, it was solely part-time contained by the evening hours, but it wasn't bad any.Apart from that, as Ryan suggested, the Airport in Frankfurt offer a lot of job for untrained workers.
