Can i buy a pre-prepaid cell phone surrounded by germany?
I will be living in germany (heidelberg) for 4 months to study, and i want to buy a cheap cell phone to use while in that, can they be bought or rented there inexpensively?
Answers: Yes you can, merely get a impressively basic model at Saturn or Mediamarkt or a similar store. Then nearby are several pre-paid offers to chose from.
Also, lately so you know: There's a website called peterzahlt.de through which you can cause regular (ie not cell phone) calls between Germany and the US at consistent times of the day. You don't enjoy to be tec-savvy, don't have to register - I used it for several months until the friend I be staying in touch beside returned to Germany from the US.
I remember coming across them in Saturn some time put a bet on. Forget about renting. Cellphones are merely as cheap these days :-)
