Answers:    if you stingy Freiberg ( Saxony ) ,there is not much to see;the Dom possibly.
Different story if you meant Freiburg ( Breisgau ).There is lot to see.Muensterplatz next to the Muenster. There are lots of restaurants and Pubs .A must do is to visit the Fressgasse,
lots of food (international and local ),approaching a food court.
Have fun and have a Rothhaus beer ( Tannenzaepfle ) for me,
will ya ?
Do you miserable Freiburg i. Breisgau?

If yes, Freiburg is a former mining town (silver, lead, zinc) and one of the mines if immediately an interesting museum:

Guten Appetit und viel Spass im schoenen Schwarzwald!
Anywhere!! This is a great town, good food, well brought-up Bars, nice people. I craving I was going beside you! I've got some suitable friends we met there, and they stayed next to us here in the States for a look in several times.

We are planning a trip in September to jump back. Also, if you own a car in that is lots of stuff to do and see in the nouns. (the train also works)
Are you referring to Freib*U*rg i. Br. or Freiberg in the former east Germany? BIG difference! Freiburg is a college town next to lots of cool clubs/bars to hang out surrounded by and also lots of parks and green areas.
