Where would I buy a German plug adapter by tomorrow?
I'm leaving for Germany on Sunday and a short time ago thought about how I'm suppose to plug contained by my American appliances. Does anyone know where they put on the market those adapters for foriegn travel?
Answers: I am an American living in Germany. You will with the sole purpose need the adapter plug if your appliance is dual voltage. Look at your appliances to see if they are rate 110 - 240. If they are you should have no problems as long as you own the plug. If your appliance is NOT dual voltage, then you will call for that transformer! I would try WalMart and Target for those items.
I hope you enjoy your stop by to Germany! it is an awesome country and the weather is just very soon starting to get nice.
PS: Don't bother w/ a clock... as stated earlier it WILL NOT keep time!
I've see them at Walmart and don't try to buy them in Germany as they mostly own the ones Germans need around the world not the other road. And don't forget about 220 Volt but everybody told you this already. Radio Shack should enjoy them, or any travel or luggage store should also carry them.
You'll have need of not only a plug adapter but a voltage converter; we use 110, they use 240, and you'll fry your appliances minus a converter (unless they're dual voltage).
You could get them in attendance, but they'll be much more expensive, especially the converter.
You can get them contained by many places adjectives over the USA.
Yes conversion is the answer, from AC 110 to DC 240!
Staples, Radio Shack, Circuit City, Walmart, Kmart. Most of these places all transport converters.
An important article to know..there are TWO converters you will stipulation unless you can find an all contained by one. The two at Radio Shack one is for things like your laptop and battery-operated recharge and the other good for electric razor and smaller items. The directions come with them adjectives. I know they have adjectives in ones very soon.
Also make sure you bring the extensions for the plugs are they will plummet short of plugging in!! Anything you miss surrounded by the USA you can also buy in Germany at electronic stores.
So I am sure you can shift to any one of those stores and find one.
i went to germany over spring break and i bought mine from target. they hold a pack with a european adapter which is obedient for mostly all the countries within europe except for great britian. I got mine from Radio Shack for almost $9 or maybe Walmart may own some.
either buy on the internet at ebay etc or buy one when you`re nearby, that`s the easiest solution. The previous respondent was right roughly speaking needing to hold a convertor (and not just a plug adaptor) to avoid detrimental your American appliance. Also, don't bother bringing a plug in clock. It will not run properly even near a convertor. In addition to Radio Shack, I enjoy also seen convertor sets (with the adaptors for Europe, UK, Australia) within Target stores (luggage dept).Try to pack light, beefy luggage in Europe is a accept because in abundant places, there are no porters available. If you are going next to someone, maybe one of you can bring one appliance (e.g. a blowdryer) which you can share. Hab eine gute Fahrte! (German for enjoy a nice vacation).
WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THERE THEY GOT PLENTY
