What is a hostel?

Answers:    Hostels provide accommodation where on earth guests can rent a bed, sometimes a bunk bed in a dormitory and share a bathroom, lounge and sometimes a kitchen. Rooms can be mixed or single-sex, although private rooms may also be available. Hostels are roughly cheaper for both the operator and the citizen; many hostels appoint their long-term residents as desk clerks or housekeeping staff in exchange for free apartment.

Usually its a cheaper way to stay within a city overnight. you get a dorm sized bunk bed beside 2, 4 or even up to 19 other roomates. you might get a locker to use but you want your own lock, there might be a vestibule bathroom/showers like a college dorm. its not a place you would dangle out, only sleep really. some provide a wispy breakfast in the morning.
Also call youth hostel. an inexpensive, supervised lodging place for young ancestors on bicycle trips, hikes, etc. I think its a place where on earth you can overnight for not too
much money, but there are other associates sharing a room with you!
