Is it true that Germany doesn't hold speed restrictions? I be contained by Montreal once and these kids from Germany be
on a school trip and they said that Germany didn't enjoy speed limits, be they messing with me or is that true?
Answers: From a German, to catch these speed limits rumors straight:
Within a town or rural community: 50 km/h; can be reduced to 30.
Country roads: 100 km/h, can be restricted to 80 and 60, or expanded to 120 on two-lane roads
Autobahns: NO speed limit, recommended speed 130 km/h, overtaking merely allowed on the left lane, oodles speed limit zone
My preferred speed on an Autobahn is something between 140 and 160, but that's because my old coupé just get up to 180. Fastest thing I drove beside another car be 230 km/h, and it was reasonably scary. The lane seem to acquire narrower the faster you drive.
Highways without speed boundaries you can find all over the country. Here's the sign, which allow you to drive as promptly you want. ----> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Zeich...
A really cool one near my home is the A5. We drive it every time when i travel to Frankfurt. Mostly straight!
But note that within the case of rainfall or fog you must slow down und turn the lights on!
there is a most important freeway that doesn't have a speed restraint. rural streets still do. While it is true that parts of the autobahn do not have posted speed precincts the suggested speed is 130 km/h. And in towns the speed ends vary from 30 km/h to 80 km/h. So they aren't completely lying. Hope that help.
There are certain parts of the autobahn (interstate) that does not own a limit. However, in that is always so much road construction that it is thorny to hit top speed for very long up to that time you have to slow down again. There are speed margins everywhere else.
I have lived contained by Germany for 13 years and been driving here for that long.
Alwin E give you the most correct answer!
The autobahns are well maintain and it easy to seize your speed up, but it can be dangerous... you never know when you might come up on a stau (traffic jam)! Many tires are not speed rate for very soaring speeds, so that is something to pinch into consideration.
So, yes there are speed precincts on parts of the Autobahn and the parts where at hand aren't the recommended speed is 130km/h.
No it's not true. Speed limits length from about 6km/h
to 120km/h. The lone place where there's no speed bound
whatsoever are some parts of some superhighways.
Only on some autobahns, but I don't want to go this efficient it is to dangerous and upsetting. It's true. Why would they possibly have speed ends? I thought only communist countries have speed limits.
