What is the best time of year to dance to germany?
Also my son is stationed at katterbach army base..Does anyone know what airport i would fly into?I am have problems finding this out...
Answers: Best season for a visit to Germany is IMHO summer or rash autumn. Winters tend to be rainy and cold.
Katterbach is a small town near the town of Ansbach surrounded by Bavaria. From the US you can get direct flights to any Frankfurt/Main (note: the Main is a river) or Munich.
Frankfurt's airport (FRA) is the major German airport, by passender numbers rank third in Europe and among the ten busiest worldwide.
If your son can't pick you up at the airport, you may run the train, Ansbach has a station. The trip will pilfer about 3 hours both from Frankfurt's as capably as from Munich's airport. However, Frankfurt's airport has its own long-distance station and you'll necessitate to change trains lone once in Würzburg. From Munich's airport you'll first own to take the suburban metro to prevalent station, and then possibly translation trains once again in Nuremberg.
I'd hence definitly opt for Frankfurt, it'll be way more comfortable since you won't enjoy to find (or fight) your way through the metro near all of your luggage and after a long intercontinental flight.
Regardless of that, surrounded by both cases you'll have the opportunity of a ride on the German high-speed ICE trains, traveling at up to 200 miles/hour (http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en... ).

You may also rent a sports car, but I wouldn't recommend that. Traffic on Germany's Autobahnen is way faster than on US interstates (remember: no speed limit) and tend to be more aggressive. If you're not used to that and/or are simply tired from the flight …
Nevertheless, directions and a map from Frankfurt's airport to Katterbach, and from in attendance to Munich's airport (so you get the idea): http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Frankf...
Last but not tiniest: Ansbach's web page are located at http://www.ansbach.de/cda/showpage.php?l... .
That depends on what you want to do. If you are into winter sports then I recommend visit during the winter. If not then I love the summers over here.
Katterbach is by Ansbach and the nearest airport is the one contained by Nuremberg Germany. The Airport code is NUE, just move about to expedia.com and put nue as the destination you will find it. It is only in the region of a half hour ride from NUE to Katterbach along B14, compared to nearly 2 hours traveling to Frankfurt. There in not a direct train route any so I would try to fly to the Airport in Nuremberg. There is a shuttle bus at the airport that will lift you to the train station and downtown Nuremberg. Once at the train station there are a little trains throughout the day that are going to Ansbach. Once surrounded by Ansbach you can take a hackney carriage to Katterbach.
Best of luck.
Id have to see where on earth Katterback is but the main airports are mostly Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and a few others.
As far as to the best time of year, I prefer the Fall, Autumn. It is like New England near in that time of the year and is when the most fun festival that I like are at. It is not usually too hot or cold surrounded by late Sept and rash October.
Most likely Frankfurt.
Late spring to precipitate fall is the best time to call in.
Trains and buses easy to use compared to USA.
Eat, drink, and be Merry
i would say aloud frankfurt as well.
thats roughly speaking 200 kilometres from katterbach, so you may have your son pick you up, give somebody a lift a flight to nuernberg or take the train!
in the region of the time of the year: i agree, i would go between dribble and early spring. we didnt enjoy much snow last winter so you should skulk for the winter hoping to get snow ;)
